Jaxson was diagnosed at 7 months old with Severe Type A Hemophilia, an inherited bleeding disorder in which his blood is missing the Factor VIII clotting protein. With Factor VIII deficiency, bleeding can happen due to injury or spontaneously inside and outside of the body. He also experiences severe bruising, often caused by normal every day plan. Jaxson receives Recombinant Factor VIII treatments weekly to help prevent bleeds, as well as on demand if he sustains bodily injury. Currently, there is no cure for Hemophilia.Having Hemophilia, will not allow Jaxson to participate in contact sports, such as football and hockey, as they could cause traumatic injury to Jaxson's body.
Jaxson is a two year old, active little boy. He loves playing outside, swimming, playing with cars, watching cartoons, and playing with his sister Analise and dog Bella.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to the WPA Hemophilia Chapter who support Jaxson and others living with bleeding disorders.
